Two barriers, two sides, two perceptions of each other. ... I’m going to be comparing two social barriers between 3 very different articles, the social barrier and the racial barrier. Each author takes different positions in their writing, both the “other” and the “us” perceive each other very differently since the barriers are there and lastly the “other” slowly gains entrance into the world of “us. ... Thinking in more in general terms the differences between the two poems, the social barriers were very different and promote to the reason why one was invited and one wasn’t. ... Since these barriers exist, both sides must perceive the other differently. ... They give ones own experience in overcoming barriers.
