1) What physical characteristics do anthropologists divide Homo Sapiens into to define a “race”? The Homo Sapiens are divided into different groups depending on their skin color, height, head form, hair color, eye color, shape of nose, and hair form. This also talks about many people in today’s society use the word race incorrectly as to define French, Jewish, etc. Race has nothing to do with language, religion, or the country that the person came from but it is used in a way of describing Homo Sapiens. We should use the word race as to define things like color, height, head form, hair color, eye color, shape of nose, hair form, etc. just that we don’t do so today and we are wrong for using it as the way we do in today’s world. 2) Why is it incorrect to distinguish race by skin color alone? It is wrong to distinguish race by their skin color alone because we can’t just separate people for their skin color, we should also look at their other characteristic traits instead. Such examples of hair color, height, head form, etc. Just because we are different in color we still can’t be separated into different groups with other colors. I believe in society today that we must think about the other people and look at their personality traits and not just to look at their skin color and just put them into their own kind of skin color. There are many differences in people not just their skin color that we should separate them from. 3) List the 3 major races in the world. In general, where do these races live? The 3 major races in the world are Caucasoid, Mongoloid, and the Negroid. There is an oid in the end of each of them and Caucasian means White, Mongolian means Yellow and Negro means Black.
