“THE LOVE THAT KILLS”

1961, that was the year when he was born, John Stevens. This boy was so smart in school, so kind to all kinds of people, and generous to all needy and poor people. John grew up with a family of four, his mother, father, and little sister. The Stevens’ family was one of the wealthiest among the families of London, Ontario, Canada. John was the first child and the first son for the family. From the day he was born he got everything he wanted. But strangely, this boy didn’t ask for many things from his family. John loved his little sister the most, everyday once he came back from school, he took her to the candy store in the neighborhood and bought her candy. John wanted to work and get his own money. He always wanted to be the best, the only, and the first. Among his friends and his family, he was the best in school, sports, financial wise, and knowledge. He was the first in his family. But when it came to the only, he wasn’t. He always thought about it and tried to be the only by working and studying hard. In his family he had one unintentional opponent, his little sister. Even though he loved her a lot, he was jealous of her. The way he treated her with kindness, generosity, and care was the same way she treated him. She respected him, honored him and cared about him. That way made him confused, how could he be jealous of some one who does all that for him? Years went by and they grew up together. During those yeas, the attention form the parents was brought to Mary, John’s little sister. She asked for anything and her parents did it for her.
