Tea Now Or Tea Later? Aim The aim of this experiment ¡§tea now or tea later¡¨ is to discover whether drinking tea after five minutes from when it was boiled then poured would be warmer if the milk was added at the start of the five minutes or waiting five minutes then adding the milk. Hypothesis When adding the milk from the moment the water was boiled and poured into the cup it will keep warmer, then as if the same amount of boiled water was poured into a cup then after five minutes the milk was added. The tea will be slightly cooler when the milk is added after the five minutes because once the milk is added straight away it changes its state and form. Equipment „X Kettle (able to bring water to boiling point) „X Two mugs (must be the same) „X Water „X milk „X Thermometer „X Stirring rod „X Ruler „X Tea bags „X Clock Variables identified The independent variables changed; „« The time taken from when the milk to the first was added cup and then to the second cup.
