DIGITAL AUDIO REPORT
Digital audio has many ingredients that make it what it is. And it has been a quite significant change from analogue audio to digital over the years. Slowly evolving bringing new technology and a new sense of life into the industry with some people still preferring most analogue audio to digital it is slowly taking over in every aspect right before our eyes. This is why digital audio is so important and interesting to watch and learn about. And in this report will cover aspects such as the “the nyquist theory”, the definition of how sound waves are represented digitally, sampling rates and a few other topics that should hopefully help with some understanding of digital audio. ... The samples taken per second or sampling rate determines how precisely the digital sound file reproduces the frequency components of the sound source. Digital audio is made of lots of these samples also known as snapshots that happen many times a second. ... The snapshot, expressed as the number of bits is stored in a single digital word, while the number of times each second that a snapshot is taken is expressed as the sampling rate.
