Labatt Brewing is one of Canada’s most popular beers and as the sales increased in the year 2000 they are looking to expand their market into the states for 2003. Labatt Blue beer has undergone a series of focus groups in order to develop a market strategy for sales in the states but has found this to be an uphill battle due to the popular domestic beer companies owned by Anheuser Bush. The growing population of young working professionals are finding themselves out with co-workers and looking to order a more sophisticated import beer, rather than the usual college Bud Light. They want to be perceived as older and more mature and get out of the college cliché, but they want this import beer at a domestic price.
