Change is the driving force in all our lives. It is the factor that motivates and moulds us into what we are with the corresponding consequences and encourages us to discover new things. The way people perceive things also changes from one person to another. For every change, alteration or reformation that one undergoes, there is either a positive or negative outcome. Change, as the driving force has been made evident through the texts, My Place, a novel by Sally Morgan, The Door, a poem by Miroslav Holub and the article by Amanda Butler, The Courage To Change. In My Place, change is evident as the driving force throughout Sally Morgan¡¯s life. This is shown in the death of her father.
