In the story Tea in the Wendy House by Adele Geras is about a young girl named Lynn who is confused about her pregnancy. The story is set back in the times when it was wrong and bad to be an unmarried mother. Lynn is very confused and unsure about what to think and do over the whole matter of the pregnancy and when Graham asks her to marry him feels that she is obliged to marry him. Lynn comes across in the story as someone who is easily influenced and wants to fit in even if that means going against what she wants. Lynn also thinks very high of her mother and values what she says, with Lynn’s mother thinking that Lynn has such a great live ahead of her with Graham and that, things are just going to turn out great.
