I have decided to discuss the use of camera movement and the use of sound in “Vertigo” and how these elements contribute to the suspense of the film. ... ” The use of camera movement in “Vertigo” clearly does just this. Also, Alfred Hitchcock and cinematographer Robert Burks created a highly influential shot in “Vertigo” which consisted of the combination of a zoom and a track in opposite directions.
