HIV is a virus that can be spread through vaginal, oral, or anal sex as well as by sharing needles with carriers of the human immunodeficiency virus and receiving a blood transfusion from someone with HIV. While there are ways to restrain HIV there are no known cures for the virus at this time. ... HIV testing can be anonymous and completely confidential (Rathus 544). Due to the advancement of medical technology, testing for HIV is also cost effective. ... Therefore, testing should be mandatory for HIV to
ensure that those that have the virus and are unaware of it can have the opportunity for a longer life and the knowledge to understand the other many aspects of their disease.
For those that have the human immunodeficiency virus and are unaware of it; mandatory testing would benefit them in many ways. Once a person finds out that they have tested positive for HIV; treatment can begin immediately. ... “Anonymous testing means that no name or identifying information is recorded. ...
