Some of the themes that are discussed are suffering as well as good verses evil and we realize through out the movie that in life we have freedom of choice, and that with time and creation life can be altered within the dream states. ... In my opinion I believe that the child had an experience in which he was not ready to let go of life yet, and this lead to the fact that he could not stop dreaming.
