Many people believe that English should become a global language. ... People believe that if language were to become globalised, the communication between countries and within jobs would become easier. However there seem to be more negative reasons for Standard English becoming a global language such as the loss of culture and this would have a mass effect on the tourist industry and education. Another reason is that if English were to be a global language it would have to be the promotion of Standard English which would cause non-standard dialects to eventually disappear again this would relate back to the loss in culture. It seems as though the disadvantages outweigh the advantages to English becoming a global language.
If English were to become a global language, it is believe that communication between people would become easier.
