The frigid air chilled me as I approached my opponent’s home rink. I need to find our locker room. As I near, the sounds from the room are booming full of pumped up teammates. All we can think about is winning the game. An hour of preparation goes by slowly as we anxiously wait to warm up. Finally we are let out of the stench filled locker room. The first thing that hit me was the smell of the zamboni fumes. My ears quickly tuned into the roaring fans as we waited for the door of the rink to open. After waiting for what seemed to be hours, the door to the rink opened. The pucks are thrown on the ice and the music blares as we stretch and warm up our skating.
