“King Lear”
In Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” blindness is shown throughout the play by the king. It was not a type of physical blindness, rather by Lear’s inability to see ingratitude and the flaws that people possessed. Lear’s blindness is toward three main characters in the play.
Lear is blind to the sincerity of his daughter, Cordelia. ... This statement makes Lear mistreat her and disowns her.
