War With Iraq
A war is a state of usually open and declared armed hostile conflict between states or nations. The most recent and upcoming war is between the United States, and Iraq. ... President Bush promised to fight a war against terrorism, which he did, and “the war on terrorism began so well. ... Believing that Iraq supports terrorism President Bush along with other leaders from other countries, mostly from the United Nations, have started to plan a possible war with Iraq and Saddam Hussein. With the many weapons of mass destruction that Iraq has, the war with Iraq seems inevitable; so many countries are getting ready for it. Many countries in the United Nations however do not support the possible war; well not right now. They believe the United Nations should wait longer before declaring war on Iraq. Believing that hurrying the war could cause major problems throughout the world. With most of the United Nations against the possible war with Iraq, and the United States trying to go to war, this may cause many problems for the United States. Which is why I believe the war with Iraq is a major problem, not only for the United States; but also for the whole world.
One cause of the conflict with Iraq is the weapons that Iraq has. ... With this threat to the world, some countries, the United States being one of them, believe that Iraq has to disarm their weapons, and get rid of them. ... President Bush says if Saddam does not cooperate with the weapons inspectors then the United Nations will need to use force on Iraq. However, Iraq along with other countries believes that Saddam Hussein is cooperating with the United Nations. ...
One other cause of this war with Iraq is the September 11th attacks on the United States. However, it did not cause any immediately problems with Iraq, over the last year or so, it eventually evolved into that. In the last year, the United Nations received information that shows that Iraq supports terrorists. ... Which, on top of the problems that the United States already had with Iraq, eventually it lead back to the September 11th attacks. ...
Due to recent events in the world, the effect of the beliefs that the Iraqis have weapons of mass destruction was the invasion of Iraq by the American and British troops on March 17th 2003.
