“Noise and Kisses” by The Used is a song about when a man reveals his true feelings to a girl and how it tears him apart inside because she does not respond or give him any feedback. The song not only applies to the man in the song but also to the entire male population. This is a prime example of why it is so hard for men to tell women how they really feel. The first lines of the song say, “Look in my eyes/I’m jaded now whatever that means.” He is obviously saddened by something and is “jaded” because of it. When he says “whatever that means” it sounds like he is trying to play it off like it wasn’t anything. This is the first of many things that happens when men they tell a woman how their feelings and they receive little or no response. The man is sadden by the lack of response but still has hope because it is still early. For the next couple of days men will be in denial and tell their friends that “everything is fine” and “she needs some time to take the whole thing in.” “By sharing these things/I rip my heart out.” It seems as though he is talking to the girl face to face in these lines.
