1. Define each of the following terms: (a) Mode: The mode of a data set is that element in the data set that occurs most frequently. (b) Mean: The mean is the sum of all the numbers in the data set divided by the actual number of items in the data set. Using the formula: = Σxn/N Where, “x-bar” represents the mean, the Greek letter Sigma in the numerator of the fraction represents “the sum of” the “x-sub-n” in the numerator of the fraction represents the original elements in the data set, and the “N” in the denominator of the fraction represents the number of items in the data sheet.
