I can still recall the first bone chilling day of Junior High School. Summer had come and gone; meanwhile, the September chill had crept up and settled in without warning. I sat nervously in my first Social Studies class, glancing over the strange faces which occupied the enormous room. Across the room wearing a multicolored floral button blouse, purple tapered jeans, and an afro hairstyle sat a girl whom was insecure and envious of everyone who sat around her, except for herself? Her name is Carla. She is now my best friend of eleven years. Carla stands at about five foot six inches, with brown eyes and a radiant smile. She has luscious long deep brown hair that nearly reaches beyond her mid back. With her many accomplishments, tasks, goals, and dreams, she is constantly striving to be all she can be. I look up to Carla because she has come along way since that day in Social Studies class. I believe these qualities have helped build a strong and forever lasting relationship.
