Global economic change has affected the class structure of the United States. Many jobs that were once worked by many U.S. workers have now moved to overseas. This is done so that costs are kept low. They do not have to pay overseas workers as much as they would employees in the United States. This is unfortunate because those U.S. employees are now losing jobs. Even in the United States an immigrant or a foreigner may be more willing to accept a below minimum wage paying job because these are jobs Americans do not want.
