Athletes, in general, are always working hard to improve their performance in their chosen sport. ... Unfortunately, some athletes cheat and take drugs to enhance their ability to a higher level. More and more college athletes are doing this without hesitating. In addition, college coaches are being unfair by allowing the drugs to be taken by the athletes. When it comes time for the drug testing the athlete has time to be unfair again and cheat on the test. Therefore, college athletes should be subjected to random drug tests because players need to play fairly, and college athletes need to realize what he or she do off practice time.
The way a drug test is performed now is that athlete is told prior to the drug testing so basically he or she has time to prepare for the test.
