Berlioz
Harold in Italy Mvt. ... Since Ive started doing that for this
class, Ive learned a great deal about Berlioz, and the relationship of him to many
other composers. ... When we leave this melody for the
first time, there is a brief interjection from the woodwinds in triplets, sixteenths,
and eigths. ... It works very nicely in doing this first of all because it is
a beautiful melody that I dont mind hearing, and secondly it doesnt occur for too
long to stray away from the main point of the movement as Berlioz describes it;
Procession of the Pilgrims Singing the Evening Hymn. ...
This could easily relate to Berlioz and I think it does.
