It was Thursday October 29 at 7:30 when Jake woke up. He was still drowsy while his mom woke him, so he went down to his kitchen and ate, then got dressed and said good-bye to his family. While he was walking to school he looked at his watch. It was 8:46 and school starts at 8:50! Luckily he was the fastest kid in school. So he ran down the sidewalk and finally got to school. He noticed his class was doing Science. Then came last recess and after it he was doing art. This art class he was doing a Hallowe’en painting. Jake had to redo his painting because it got water spilt on it. Finally it was perfect! At the end of the day he said good-bye to his friends. Halfway through his walk home he felt something moving in his backpack so he dropped it and looked inside. There was still just an ordinary painting and an ordinary lunch bag.
