Red, yellow, blue, purple, and green; what first arrives in your mind when you think of these colors? I visualize a beautiful butterfly soaring through the peaceful, tranquil sky. Why you might ask I suppose? Well, see I own this gorgeous crocheted butterfly made out of bright colored, multihued yarn. It’s quite a piece to set eyes on actually. When you touch it, you can feel the softness and texture in the material. There is truly a beauty to it, like no other. I still remember the day my grandmother gave it to me. I was about seven; it was thundering and lightning out that day. Being a seven year old child, I detested thunder and lightning and I remember being buried under the covers just wanting all the rumbling and illumination of the skies to all just come to an end. My grandparents had stopped in for a visit and I heard their voices so I popped my head up from underneath the blankets and went out to say hello. After the greetings were done, my grandmother revealed she had something for me. She told me to wait a minute, and that she would be right back. I was very anxious to receive my gift. By the time my grandmother returned, I was practically on the edge of my seat daydreaming about what it could possibly be. My grandmother had come back with her hands behind her back. This just built up the suspense more and more. Finally, the time came when it was shown to me. My grandmother knew I loved butterflies, and she was always making things for me out of yarn so I had expected that. But she had never made anything for me out of multicolored yarn.
