My aunt had suggested for me to enter fair princess because some of her daughters had before and she said that I would have a really good chance at winning if I tried my best. Given the confidence, I decided to enter. I started preparing for this day during the early summer days of going into grade seven. I had to do so many things to have a chance to enter and win the title of fair princess of The Brooke, Alvinston, Watford Fall Fair in the upcoming September. I started out by making many crafts in many areas. I had articles entered in crafts, drawings, sewing, knitting flower arranging, baking and cooking, beadwork, photography, and much, much more. It took a lot of help from my mom but we were able to get it all done in time for entering. I was so nervous because I had put so much time and effort into trying my best and making all of these articles for the fair and I knew if I didn’t win I would be kind of disappointed because I had put forth so much effort. We had brought all my stuff on Wednesday night, the weekend before the fair, which started on Friday. I had set up all my articles and then we left. I was so nervous the next day. Until on Thursday when I got a phone call.
