Sociological Perspective It was Thursday afternoon in Al-Ghurair Center, a shopping mall based in heart of Dubai downtown, when people were rushing in for shopping with their families. Some families were heading towards convenient stores, group of youngsters and couples were relaxing and chatting in cafes such as Starbucks, Seattle coffee and Cinnabon. However I made my way towards the food court so I could grab a chair there in the corner without the crowd noticing me. As human behavior changes under observation, it was necessary to seclude myself. The food court is setup in the west wing of the mall, with each counter having their traditional decor. The Chinese and the Thai counters had the typical Far-East Asian style uniform, menus and crockeries. Respectively, the Indian and Arabic food counters had their relative setting, and the fast food counters such as Mc Donalds, Burger King, KFC and Subway were offering their standard services. It was around 1:30 PM and the gongs of Chinese restaurants, bells of Indian cuisine, drums of Arabic caterers were on going for deliveries and there were also queues in front of the fast food counters. The area was loud and crowded with families, couples and groups of youngsters.
