As humans every person is born different, genetically, but it's through life's experiences that one shapes their identity. There are a few events that come to mind that have formed beliefs and motives that today have make up my identity my: the most important aspects of identity is my religion, my hobby of snowboarding, and goal that are motivating my life today.
An event that has influenced my identity is when I started going to church in eighth grade. I moved to a new church with my girlfriend and it wasn't until recently that I received the Holy Spirit. It was the start of my relationship with God. I live for God because he sent his own spirit to earth as his son to die for the remission of peoples sin, It motivates me to fulfill his will for my life and pleas him all that I can. My relationship with Jesus is so imperative to my identity because it is what guides my life and takes part in every decision I make. I do mean every decision, whether it be who I should marry or if I should risk my body's structure on a ridiculous snowboard jump. For about two years I was heartbroken because things weren't working out with the girl " I knew" I should be with. But out of nowhere and after trying to deny it God showed me that there might be someone else that would make me happier...
