Biological Perspective of Life
Biology is defined in the dictionary as a science that deals with living beings and the life process. It studies life through the process of change and adaptation. Biology gives reasons behind these changes and even explains how they occur inside the organism. Historical narratives, causation, evolution, emergence, probability, and organicism are all ways that biology explains life. Spiritually, biology has a view similar to that of the natural sciences.
Historical narratives provide biologists with a possible solution to phenomena, but can never be proven true. For example, a historical narrative might explain why humans have evolved or why one river has a different group of inhabitant organisms from another river. There may be several different theories for particular phenomena in life, but they all have the same goal of showing why and how a historical event has happened.
