The conflict between Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton impacted American history forever. A close confident of George Washington, Hamilton admired the British government and favoured the wealthy having most of the power. Thomas Jefferson, a simple, anti-commercialistic democrat, believed lower and middle class had the same rights as the wealthy. This disagreement ultimately became central government versus the state. They appeared to be different in every way, from their ideal countries to the persecution of King Louis XVI of France. Their battles continued politically, socially, and economically, creating controversies that altered the United States; without these two vital political figures, structures such as democracy and the National Bank may never exist.
Jefferson's and Hamilton's political views couldn't have differed any more. Jefferson was anxious to escape the constraining British government and become more democratic, whereas Hamilton envied the organized, model British aristocracy and wanted to bring that to America...
