I detesting the idea of complete control by party based on absolute power and domination over a country. I couldn't live in a world of hate, back stabbing and constant fear.
It's not a nice feeling knowing that someone is always watching you, that you have to be careful about your thoughts because you might make a small facial expression, to know that if you don't act a certain way or say the wrong thing you might be imprisoned or killed. I can't even stand to have someone looking over my shoulder while I work let alone while I sleep, eat, play, etc. "Big Brother is watching." It's almost impossible to get away from them, they have telescreens waiting around every corner and in every nook. And even if you can't see it, there's still a microphone hidden somewhere. You can never relax in such an environment, you can never be free to do as you please without thinking what they'll think of it. And I wouldn't be able to stand it.
The government has absolute control over everything, they keep the country in a state of continuos war so that the surplus of work is always eaten up and so that the Proles never get any luxuries...
