Growing up around a wide variety of music, it's hard to narrow down to one particular favorite. However, as difficult as it was I would have to
say celtic music. With it's catchy rythms, meaningful lyrics, and dedicated sound ; it's always going to be number one in my book. I personally have
chosen to review a song by one of my favorite celtic folk bands. Based in sothern california (I'm assuming for publishing reasons) Flogging Molly
sure knows how to sound great. Every beat of the drum sounds authentic as can be, and with lyrics ranging from folk songs passed from
generations to new and original titles, it really keeps me interested.
I heard about this band from a friend of mine who also enjoys celtic music. The band itself is a seven piece bad, playing mostly authentic instruments. Some, however, are a little more, up with the times. Instruments ranging from the authentic penny whistle, tin flute, fiddle (played by Bridget Regan) mandolin and banjo (Robert Schmidt)...
