Macbeth is epitomized as an evil character by his non-understanding of how evil is and his continuing evil acts and thoughts after killing the king. Macbeth decided he would kill Banquo after his suspicion of his part in murdering the king. Shakespeare contrasts Banquo and Macduff with Macbeth to separate good and evil in the play.
