There may be two views about the use of animals in research or for research purposes. One view holds that the use of animals in research is not good because it is inhumane and unethical. The opposite view is that the use of animals in research helps save mankind from life-killing diseases. In addition I think it is good because it can help give medicine that can save us.
I hold the view that animals could be used for research purposes. Though many people have come to the conclusion that medical researchers are cruel and inhumane, in many cases, the good of the research is overlooked and bad is used. Even though people believe that animal research is morally wrong, I believe it should continue because it is critical in helping save human life. Infact, there is not yet available a very good and reliable alternative to animal research. Animal Rights Activists like "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) think that research with animals causes severe pain to these animals and that the animals are essentially abused.
