China Airlines is a Taiwan based airlines company which founded in December
16, 1959. The company operates its business for 44 years. However, its flight history
does not gain it fame, contrarily it make the company becomes notorious.
In 26 May 2002, China Airlines Boeing 747 bound for Hong Kong which
take-off after about 20min from Taipei the aircraft was overtaken by some
catastrophic event, broke up and fell into the sea. No one survived in this air disaster,
the 19 crew members and 206 passengers were all killed.
Since 1970, China Airlines had 10 fatal events occurred, such as 26 October
1989 happened near Hualien, Taiwan, all seven crew members and 49 passengers
were killed and 26 April 1994 happened in Nagoya, Japan there were 15 crew and 249
passengers were killed . This figure is quite serious for an airline company, because
the average number of fatal event of Asian airlines is 3.91 events (AirSafe.com).
The direct losses of China Airlines after air crashes were decrease in passengers
carried and revenue, increase in insurance premium...
