Great Britain vs. Sweden
Although political systems vary greatly between countries there remain still similarities, whether because of political influence, geographical relation, or mere coincidence. Two of the most similar governments are those of Great Britain and Sweden. Separated only by the North Sea, Great Britain and Sweden share similarities in their government system, political disputes, approach to religion and state, and finally and most importantly, the two laid the foundation for the formation and expansion of the "welfare state." The political systems of Great Britain and Sweden can be compared on five points; Impact of the past, key institutions, political attitudes, patterns of interaction, and finally, unrest between the people. The similarities that Great Britain and Sweden share make their two political systems facilely comparable.
The affects of the past extend to unlimited measures. The most visible example of the impact of the past lies in the political systems that exist in our world today.
