Sentry Dam Emergency Response Plan
"Emergency Response Plan"
Content requirements for the emergency response plan developed by McDuff, Inc. emergency planning committee are specified in Regulation 72-1: Dams and Reservoirs Safety Act.
The plan developed by McDuff, Inc. emergency planning committee will address responsibility incase of accident at Dam site. The two key components are:
(1) Community emergency response organizations (fire fighting, law enforcement, EMS, etc.)
(2) Site's compliance of safety requirements set by the federal law; (to be made available to law officials)
Information regarding the first emergency response component, community emergency response organizations will include:
o Methods for determining the occurrence of an accidents and community procedures for reliable, effective and timely emergency notification of an accident
o A description of emergency equipment and services within the community
o Methods and procedures local emergency response organizations will be employed to respond to accidents
o Designation of the community emergency coordinator;
o Training programs and schedules for local emergency response personnel
o Methods and schedules for exercising the emergency response plan.
Information regarding the second component, Site's compliance of safety requirements set by the federal law will include:
(1) Identification (name and location) and description of the site
(2) Designation of the emergency coordinator for the site
(3) Procedures established by the site to effect reliable, effective and timely emergency notification
(4) Methods and procedures that site's owners and operators will employ to respond to an accidents in the facility
(5) Description of emergency equipment and services within each facility
