Commitment is a very daunting concept. The whole idea of making a substantial choice, and then standing by that conclusion is intimidating. This is especially true for myself. I am the most indecisive person you will ever meet, and when I do make a decision, I will constantly second guess if it was the right one. Heck, I can't even choose an entree at a restaurant! But one decision that I made early in my life that has never faltered is my commitment to the land where I was born and raised, and where I will raise my own children--America.
Commitment is defined in Webster's English Dictionary as " The trait of sincere and steadfast fixity of purpose; the act of binding yourself (intellectually or emotionally) to a course of action." This defines how I feel about the future of America. A normal part of growing up is questioning the world around you, searching to find meaning and truth in the ever-changing landscape of adolescence. While searching for these answers, many young people begin to challenge both the laws and customs of their country...
