I never truly took into consideration how big of a role political science, politics and government actually played in my life until I did this assignment. I began to understand what Aristotle meant when he called politics "The Master Science". Everything we do involves politics; the way we live our lives, how we act as individuals and in a group, how wealthy we are, or are allowed to become, our education, religious freedom, and the distribution of power are major points of discussion in political science and in everyday life. Political Science and everyday life are so closely intertwined that it is virtually impossible to talk about one without the other.
Politics and political science will influence and often govern our lives, but dependent apon the part of the world you live in and under what government or ruler you live will deeply vary the extent to which it influences your life and lifestyle. Living in America gives me a lot freedom and protection. When I woke up this morning to my buzzing alarm, I realized that I had a lot of choices, I was free to go to my morning mass at my Catholic Church (I was free to be a member and free to worship any religion I choose). Not every one has that luxury; in some countries religion is so closely linked to their government that the people must worship the religion of their ruler. In the Arabic countries, Muslim is the predominate religion, therefore the people who live their must follow the rules of that religion, which includes their way of dress (women covering their face), their social hierarchy (men are superior to women), and their family life (including educating your children to be good Muslims).
