A lot of people don't think of why they love someone, or why they had a fling and
look back at what a fool they once were. Scientific researches suggest that it's because of
chemistry. Yes, chemistry. Certain chemicals in your body tend to put you on a natural
high. Phenylethylamine (PEA), a type of amphetamine, and endorphins being the main
two chemical causes of love.
PEA is a type of amphetamine that your body produces that can make you go
"gaga" for somebody. PEA, however, is not a long lasting love. As with any
amphetamine, your body builds up a tolerance for it, therefore your body having to
produce more PEA to give you that natural high. Eventually, normally a span between 2
to 3 years, your body cannot produce enough PEA to give you a natural kick. Then the
love between you and that person kind of dies off...
