Godspeed You! Black Emporer was formed in Montrial Canada in 1994. They do there best to remain annonimous, and handcraft all of there cd/vinyl packaging. Becaue on this animinity, I cannot introduce to you there members according to there instrument. What i can tell you is that they are (currently a 9 peice) which includes drums, glockenspiel, three guitars, violin, cello, two basses , ocasionally a french horn /trumpet(s). They include some spoken word onto there recorded songs and prerecorded "field recordings" during there live shows.
There was quite a buzz about this band floating around before i went to see them at the roxy in boston, april 6th i believe it was. I have only heard good things about this band, and was overly excited to see them. Once they arrived on stange I was pleased to see that they incorporated a visual show into there performance. The screen blinked "expload" and slowly the band began a whirlwind of crecendo's with no hint of resolution...
