Andrew Warhola was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 6, 1928. His father, Andrei Warhola, immigrated from Medzilaborce, what is now known as Slovakia. He then married Julia Zavacky in 1909. With two older brothers, Paul and John, Andrew is the youngest from his family of five. Through out his childhood, And Warhol enjoyed mystery and confusion. Andy showed an early talent in drawing and painting. After high school, he went on to study commercial art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh. He graduated from there in 1949. Warhol then pursued his talends in New York, where he worked as an illustrator for magazines like Vogue. He soon became one of New York's most sought of and successful commercial illustrators...
