1. A.) In football, as in most sports, warm-up is essential for many reasons. Among these are to increase heat throughout the body, to reduce risk of tearing or straining by increasing their suppleness, to increase flexibility and freedom of movement, to reduce muscle tension and to reduce the risk of muscle and tendon injuries.
B.) To begin with, I would jog one to two laps of the football oval to raise a light sweat, increase heat throughout my body and help reduce the risk of tearing or straining muscles. After the jog, I would do stretching, with a short exercise after each stretch to increase warmth and suppleness. The leg muscles are what I would begin with:

Warm-Up The warm up is aimed at assisting the athlete to perform optimally and to avoid injury. When the warm up is done appropriately it causes an increase in body temperature and a stretching of some tissues which leads to more efficient functioning of the body.
