Religion
One of the most difficult aspects of religion is defining the meaning of the word. A simple one-sentence definition would fall very short of grasping the broad meanings of religion. Definitions of religion often fall into a few categories, often explaining only a few aspects, such as the personal or the social elements.
In Latin, the word religio is regarding to the fear of the gods or God, and also "an obsessive attention to detail." Cicero, of ancient Rome took it from the word relgere, which is to gather things together. However, the majorities have taken it from the word religare, which is to bind together. The latter explanation for the origin of the word focuses concentration on an important function of religion, to bind people together in common practice and beliefs. Religion is an organized system that holds people together.
