I feel that although my first piece of writing in English 1010 was merely average my second exceeded all my standards. My personal memoir was up to high school standards, however, I forgot that it is not high school anymore. Now that I look at it was a poorly written essay that probably shouldn't have been written in the first place. There were many careless errors and it didn't really have a set format. I felt though that the revision of it might save its credibility, I couldn't have been more wrong. In high school I made a practice of using "reprints" which is like breaking one of the 10 commandments in Doe's class. After Doe lectured us on the different ways to revise papers I felt I greatly improved my revising skills on my personal essay. I have found many new ways to revise my papers however, I feel that I have not been able to utilize them properly up to this point. I hope that my personal essay revision will prove me wrong.
Although I have not been able to properly revise my own papers (unless my personal essay turns out well), I feel that I have gotten better at helping people revise theirs...
