Part time Job Can Benefit Students

It is popular among college students to work a part-time job after schools time because that they want to learn hand-on experiences and earn pocket money. While some adults oppose students to work after school because they think part-time job will detract students' attention from studies, part-time job can benefit students in three ways. Students learn social skills from working experiences, they can apply what they learn in school to their part-time job, and they learn how to handle money and cherish it from earning money by themselves.
To begin with, students learn social skills from working experiences. In working places, students not only need to study and have good grades, they also need to know how to communicate with people to make their work more efficient to attain the goal. For example, when I work as a private tutor, I need to talk to the parents, knowing what they expect from me, what kind of teaching method they prefer me to use, and what level of English ability my students is in. I have to try to maintain those parents' need by observation and communication. I can not only sit and start teaching. I have first to try to deal with people--how to talk neither cringingly nor arrogantly and how to search for people's needs and give them what they what. Although I am shy in nature and afraid of contacting strangers, when I work I have to cast all my fear and shyness aside, so gradually I am more confident talking to new people...
