The Alchemist
The Alchemist is a book about a boy who follows his dreams to achieve his personal legend. He is a shepherd who decides to leave everything and go in search of his personal legend. The boy comes across many obstacles and is faced with a lot of problems, but in the end he finds what he was looking for.
Santiago had become a shepherd in the fields of Spain because he wanted to travel. He had close relationships with his sheep, but he was still lonely. After having a recurring dream about finding a treasure he decided to go to a fortune teller. He was told the obvious, to go to the Pyramids in his dream and find his treasure. Later that day while reading on a bench he was interrupted by an old man who claimed to be a king. The king told the boy about his personal legend and that he must follow the omens to his treasure. The boy decided against it and continued with his day...
