Kobe Bryant, guilty until proven innocent?
Kobe Bryant is accused of attacking a 19-year-old woman on June 30 at a resort in Colorado. The basketball superstar is facing the court of law, and the court of public opinion. One determines if he keeps his freedom and the other, his reputation. The outcome of the legal case is a matter of "he said, she said" and their credibility.
My argument is not of rape, but the "crying out" of rape charges especially against celebrities. The more powerful the star, the more likely he or she will be involved in a scandal at some point. Big names attract big troubles. But, does it mean that because someone is rich and good looking that he can have any woman he wants? It is so much worse for the complainant in celebrity cases...
