During the Cuban Missile Crisis, the United States' main objective was to dismantle the missiles out of Cuba. To accomplish this, the United States took into consideration three possible alternatives to settle the problem. The first option was to conduct air strikes and remove the missiles. The second option was to conduct even large-scale air strikes and take over the USSR bases assembled in Cuba. And lastly, the most dangerous and risky of all was to invade Cuba. However, there were few consequences and circumstances the U.S. had to consider if they were to put these alternatives into action. As told in the movie, these (especially the first 2 options) were just short-term solutions. In the long run, even bigger problems may occur...
