Othello Essay
In this essay I will be studying the main characters in Othello. I will mainly be focusing on how Iago manipulates and betrays the rest of the main characters.
Cassio
In this play Iago does numerous things to betray his 'friend' I will list and explain some point to prove this.
He gets him drunk whilst on duty. If Cassio was caught drunk whilst on duty he would have got him removed from his job.
He sets it up so that Cassio and Roderigo would fight. Seeing as Iago got him drunk Cassio couldn't control his anger.
After this two events Cassio got dismissed from his duty. This was all down to Iago's schemes.
He tries to get Roderigo to kill Cassio...
