INTRODUCTION
Ecotourism is one of the most growing markets in the tourism industry today, due to the increase in natural worship and demand of nature conservation. In the past few decades, mass tourism has been the major content in the tourism industry. But after the breakdown of the world environment and economy, people have started to notice the necessity of environmental issues, and the need to preserve the well being of nature. This is one of the background effects of the uprising of ecotourism.
Ecotourism is yet a new market, and has many problems and tasks to overcome. In this report, I would like to discuss the role of ecotourism, and the tasks it remains to overcome in the future.
ECOTOURISM IN GENERAL
In discussing ecotourism, there is a need to determine its definition, for ecotourism can be defined in many different ways. The difference is vague, for all definitions stress the importance of nature and culture conservation.
Ecotourism can be defined as a tourism that focuses on local cultures, wilderness adventures, volunteering, personal growth, and learning new ways to live on this planet. It is a travel to destinations where the flora, fauna, and cultural heritage are the primary attractions that bring economic profit to the host society...
