Being a dancer I have gone to many different kinds of dance performances throughout my life. Prior to Flamenco Vivo I had never seen this type of dance before. I was absolutely amazed by the dancing that was performed last Saturday.
Thinking that this school would never really have big name dance companies come here, I was not at all expecting the level of dance that was performed. The evening met and then surpassed all of my expectations. After just the first few minutes of the performance, I felt more educated in Spanish culture. The intensity of the colorful costumes, the remarkable movements, and the beautiful music made it impossible for me to take my eyes off of the stage. I had no idea that there would only be five dancers through out the performance. At first, I thought it might make it boring if the same dancers danced the whole time in practically every number. I soon realized how wrong my assumption was...
